Back to School Essentials

It's that time of year again that we never look forward to, back to school. This year is my first year that I am not going to High School and trust me it's totally worth it, if your still attending school you'll feel so accomplished once you cross that stage!
High School takes alot of physical and emotional energy, and you have to be prepared here's a list of my back to school must haves. Let's face it, high school is full of surprises and you have to be prepared!

Trendy School Supplies
This is a must have, of course you want to stand out from all the other plain notebooks and pencils. Personally I think that decorating your own supplies is a lot better than buying pattern things at a store because so many other people could have the same thing and you want to be unique right?

Makeup
If you are more of a all natural girl or a glam girl this is a necessity whether or not you wear makeup regularly and lets face it even when you are a glam girl, some days you want a break and you just don't feel like putting on a full face of makeup. Somethings I would bring in my makeup bag would be things like
- Clear moisturizing lip gloss/ chap stick
- Mascara
- eyeliner
- colored lip stick/lip gloss
- powder ( for oily faces)
- makeup remover wipes

Keeping Clean
This is one of the most important things for me to have with me at all times, I am clean freak and even if your not this is a definite must have! There are so many kids at school that most likely are carrying and transferring tons of germs, these are just a couple of things to bring to keep yourself from catching anything and staying clean! Also being a girl comes with the responsibility of keeping our lovely lady parts clean. When your on your period it can come times make you feel uncomfortable because your sitting in class all day and can sometimes cause a odor. You want to be prepared because you want to be as comfortable as you can to focus on your school work, not on an annoying odor!
- Travel size Hand Sanitizer ( a great smelling one)
- Deodorant ( I prefer the spray)
- Pads/tampons
-Feminine wipes
- Midol (for cramps)
-Vaginal deodorant ( yes they make this)
- Instant stain remover stick ( Tide stick)
- Travel size perfume

* Feminine essentials are very important to have to help keep you comfortable with your own body, my favorite brand is Summer's Eve that is sold at almost any store, like Walmart.

The Basics
Okay so we all know what to bring to school, just the basics that we cant forget. Here's a list of my basic essentials
-Water Bottle
- Money
- school ID/ drivers license
- travel size lotion
- mints/gum
- snacks ( a must have for me)
- Pony tail holder/bobby pins
- travel size brush

These are just some suggestions, let me know what your must haves for school are down below in the comments! Be sure to keep an eye for an upcoming giveaway ;)

Review: Icing Makeup Brushes

We all know how much of a struggle it is to find good quality brushes for a great price and sometimes we are so desperate that we go for those cheap E.L.F brushes that, let's admit, are not very good quality at all. Instead of paying a pretty penny for one brush, go for something more affordable! Icing stores are affiliated with Claire's stores, but Icing is more of a teen/adult store. They have a small selection but still plenty of variety of makeup brushes, they are also amazing quality! They are comparable to something like real techniques brushes or high end brushes, but more soft and flexible bristles, so they aren't exactly high end brushes but they are definitely worth a try if you haven't tries these yet! Icing also has great deals, they are always having buy one, get one free on beauty products and on top of that you can get 15% off or 20% off every purchase with your perks card, just ask your local icing associate and its free!

Face Brushes
The face brushes are absolutely amazing! I love how they come in different styles, so far these four are the only ones that I have found.

The white handle ones are very simple, so if your not into the patterns and colors these wold be great for you.

The brown handle ones remind me of the Eco Tools brushes, and have the same quality too, you couldn't even tell a difference!

The floral handle ones are extremely soft, I think that they have more of a softer feel compared to the other brushes.

The pink handle one is one of my favorites, maybe because it's the only one I have but it's great to use for powder all over the face because it is such a big brush to get a perfect amount of powder on your beautiful face!

All of these brushes I got at great deals, so I couldn't tell you the exact price that I paid for each of these. Icing is always having a buy one get one free on beauty and when they do I take full advantage of that. I also use my perks card, that is totally free by the way, it gives me a deal on every purchase, like 15% or 10$ off and so much more great deals! They also have good quality makeup that I have to try out, because I only have a few things, like this highlighter pictured below. It has great pigmentation and is such a beautiful color and pairing this with one of the brushes creates a beautiful glow!

Eye Brushes

The eye brushes are just as great as the face brushes, sadly I only have three right now but my collection will soon grow! These are great brushes but they do sometimes feel not as soft as you would like them to be. It makes you put a little more effort into blending eye shadows, but something like the angled brush is great for brows or eye liner because it is not as soft it helps to create a more precise line.  Like I said these are not high end brushes but they do a fantastic job, they don't look or feel cheap and these have lasted me for almost over a year now! But make sure you clean them regularly to prevent your bristles from becoming horrible and you also don't want a lot of germs all over your brushes!

Go check out your local Icing store and if you happen to get any of their beauty products let me know how you liked them, or didn't like them!

My Beauty Inspirations

We all know that we watch those YouTube tutorials and read the beauty magazines to get some tips and tricks on how to style. There are tons of inspiration around us to help create our unique styles. Let's face it a first impression is the most important thing when meeting someone and you want to look good and really show who you are, right? Your personal style tells the world how your personality is and we all want to make a good first impression.
I would say that I have a girly classic style when it comes to my makeup look, room decor and my fashion style. Here are a couple of my beauty inspirations:
She brings out the girly in me! I love the way she styles her hair, makeup and fashion. If you haven't already, check out her style and beauty books! She shares tons of great tips and tricks, I definitely try and recreate some of her styles! She even has a clothing line that is sold at khols which makes it easy to find clothes that are more of her style. One of her well know looks is her cat eye look, it creates a dramatic eye but she uses light eye and face makeup for a more classic look.

Kourtney is my favorite kardashain sister! She has more of a classic look when it comes to both her style and makeup. She tends to wear neutral eye makeup and goes for a bold lip. But good thing that her sisters and her have a makeup line that is sold at Ulta. They have tons of great products and recently released a hair product line, to achieve Kourtney's bold lip look you might want to try the Kardashain Beauty en-joy lipstick in the shade "Shocking Pink."
Right now Kourtney is a huge style inspiration for me because it seems like she is always pregnant! It's very difficult to find great looking stylish clothes to fit your now huge belly! Check out my Motherhood page to find some style tips when and if you are going through a pregnancy.

Selena has always been an inspiration to me, since I was in middle school! I would say that she has the most impact on me, she also has more of a classic style. I would say that she doesn't try to hard to be full glam, that's what makes her style so great! She has mostly natural looking makeup, sadly she does not have a makeup line and her clothing line is no longer sold. But she does have two fragrances that I purchase over and over! Her fragrances are sold at most department stores like khols and macy's so go check those out!
It's not difficult for me to recreate her looks because like Selena I am Hispanic with a light complection. She uses most;y neutral colors, which I do the same but it wouldn't hurt to get out of my comfort zone and add a little color!

Selling on Poshmark

Have tons of clothes that you've never worn, still have the tags or just tired of it? Some of that "junk" to you is worth a couple bucks. Poshmark is a great way to make a profit off those waste of space clothes you've been dieing to get rid of & here's a couple tips on how to sell on Posh.
First download the app! The app is available for iPhone and Android & it's completely free! You will be doing all the selling on your phone, but you also have the option of viewing it on a computer.
Next, you need to pick out the clothes you are wanting to get rid of, I usually place them in large plastic storage tubs that you can get at Walmart or Target. This helps from making a huge disorganized stack of clothes!

Be sure to have the supplies the you need to make your shipping nice and pretty! This is very important because when a buyer receives your package they love to see that you put some time and effort into making it look nice. It also helps you get more 5 star ratings and great reviews! Here is a list of supplies that I use to ship my packages:
-Priority Mail Boxes/Envelopes
posh only uses priority mail, or you can use a normal brown box laying around the house
-Tissue Paper
Be sure to get nice a colorful tissue paper to wrap your products and for safe shipping so there are no damages to the product. Package Paper also does a great job, because it's more thick to help prevent damage.
-Ribbon, String, Yarn
You can use this to tie together your product, this helps to make your package extra pretty!
- Thankyou Card
This adds a personal touch that buyers love to see! It let's them know you put effort into their package.

- Free Gift
This is optional, it's  something I like to do because it's a nice little surprise for the buyer, it doesn't have to be anything special just something small that everybody can use!

- Basic Necessities
Scissors,Tape, Pen, Package Tape, Bubble Wrap
Be sure to spend within your budget! Remember your trying to make money, it can sometimes be easy to get carried away in decorating the package! Most important, just have fun with it!

Now its time to start listing your items, Poshmark makes it easy to list items by just taking a couple of pictures and writing a description of the item. Be sure to price your items reasonably because Posh also takes a percentage from the sale.

Yay you made a sale! Once a buyer has purchased your item, you be be emailed a shipping label and all you have to do is print it out and tape it onto your box. Now its ready for shipping! Once the buyer has received their item the money will be transferred to your Posh account. There you can use that money on Posh or direct deposit into your bank account.
Something that you should be careful with is trading, personally I do not trade because some people could be scammers and not send you there item, so you just lost an item and end up with nothing! Be aware of trading and who you trade with.

Now you are ready to start selling and making some extra cash on Poshmark!
Example of Posh from my account (left) Shopping page/ (top right) your balance, where you can redeem your cash
(bottom right) selling screen, where you take pictures of your item
